[Pdns-users] Upgrading pdns_recursor 4.2 to 4.3 and socket-dir changes

Hello,

I'm currently running pdns_recursor 4.2.3 and working to upgrade to 4.3
(and then to 4.4.x) and am running into the following error message
after upgrading via the repo and yum:

"Problem with socket directory /var/run/pdns-recursor: it does not exist
or cannot access;"

This looks to be directly related to:
https://docs.powerdns.com/recursor/upgrade.html#socket-dir-changed

Apologies for probably a simple question, but where do we make the
change to get past this error on CentOS 7? My existing 4.2 installs have
pdns_recursor.controlsocket in /var/run but after upgrading and
restarting the machine, this is no longer present.

Thank you for any help,

Randy Saeks
