im not sure about poweradmin, but i am using pdns-admin 1.1.7, because of a
few random issues i had run into with poweradmin.
If you are using the gmysql backend, all you would do (in pdns-admin) is
change the DB access details in the settings.php file. So instead of
"localhost" you'd specify the remote IP of your pdns mysql server, you'd then
be able to manage the pdns server from a web server that is seperate from the
actual pdns server.
