Hi list,
After upgrading pdns to the newest version I have noted some strange behaviour.
I recently upgraded one of our pdns servers from 2.6.20 to 2.6.21. After 12-15
hours of operation TCP requests started to fail and the following is written to
the logfile(s) :
May 21 12:36:02 ns2-2 pdns[7931]: Error creating thread: Cannot allocate memory
May 21 12:36:09 ns2-2 pdns[7931]: Error creating thread: Cannot allocate memory
May 21 12:36:16 ns2-2 pdns[7931]: Error creating thread: Cannot allocate memory
May 21 12:36:23 ns2-2 pdns[7931]: Error creating thread: Cannot allocate memory
After restarting pdns the problem disappears but only to reappear after 12-15
hours.
Some info :
ns2-2:~# `which pdns_server` --version
Version: 2.9.21, compiled on Apr 21 2007, 11:59:21 with gcc version 4.1.2
20060928 (prerelease) (Ubuntu 4.1.1-13ubuntu5)
ns2-2:~# uname -a
Linux ns2-2 2.6.18-4-686 #1 SMP Wed May 9 23:03:12 UTC 2007 i686 GNU/Linux
ns2-2:~# cat
/etc/debian_version 4.0
ns2-2:~# cat /proc/meminfo | grep -E "(^Mem)|(^Buff)|(^Cach)"
MemTotal: 516568 kB
MemFree: 123956 kB
Buffers: 166940 kB
Cached: 108516 kB
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
