Hello Max,

The first difference is the name of the pakkage buider ;-) But more 
important mine are not  statically linked, so they are CentOS / RHEL 4 
specific and the rrd graphs run out of the box on redhat systems.

Ps. Source RPM will build on most Redhat based distributions
