[Pdns-users] LDAP backend problem

Hey,

 

Im trying to use PowerDNS with OpenLDAP as its backend,

 

Things seems to work while sometimes I see errors such:

 

 

Jan 10 22:57:36 [pdns] Query: 'www.domain.co.il|ANY'

Jan 10 22:57:36 [pdns] [LdapBackend] Search failed: Error waiting for LDAP
result: Can't contact LDAP server

Jan 10 22:57:36 [pdns] Backend error: LDAP server unreachable

Jan 10 22:57:36 [pdns] [LdapBackend] Ldap connection closed

Jan 10 22:57:36 [pdns] Distributor misses a thread (6<5), spawning new one

Jan 10 22:57:36 [pdns] [LdapBackend] LDAP servers = p2ldap:390

Jan 10 22:57:36 [pdns] [LdapBackend] Ldap connection succeeded

Jan 10 22:57:36 [pdns] Query: 'www2.domain.co.il|ANY'

Jan 10 22:57:36 [pdns] [LdapBackend] Search failed: Error waiting for LDAP
result: Can't contact LDAP server

Jan 10 22:57:36 [pdns] Backend error: LDAP server unreachable

Jan 10 22:57:36 [pdns] [LdapBackend] Ldap connection closed

Jan 10 22:57:36 [pdns] Query: 'injection.co.il|ANY'

Jan 10 22:57:36 [pdns] [LdapBackend] Search failed: Error waiting for LDAP
result: Can't contact LDAP server

 

 

 

Then queyring again the same queries return successes and everything is
okay,

 

I don’t think it’s related to networking problems since the same system runs
powerdns and openldap together.

 

 

Any ideas?
