Absolutely. This has been a known issue for a long time with
FreeBSD. I'm sorry if I sounded like I was blaming you for this. My
intention was to simply use this as an example of how depending on
one thing can bring in some other things which might be quite a bit
larger than otherwise expected.

Also true, but for those people who want to build from the
absolute latest in the source tree, if they don't already have
Subversion installed, then this would still be an issue for them.
Admittedly, this should be a small group of people, but it's still
something to be aware of.
