Hi All,

I have been working to set up my PTR records so that I can do
reverse DNS

But notice that it says that A record does not point back to the
orig IP when in fact I think I do have it pointing correctly in my

mail.outstep.com A

the report gives
How I am searching:
Asking a.root-servers.net for PTR record:
a.root-servers.net says to go to chia.arin.net. (zone:
Asking chia.arin.net. for PTR record:
chia.arin.net [] says to go to ns.cais.com. (zone:
Asking ns.cais.com. for PTR record:
ns.cais.com [] says to go to
rdns1.vrtservers.net. (zone: 75.177.205.in-addr.arpa.)
Asking rdns1.vrtservers.net. for PTR record:
rdns1.vrtservers.net [] says to go to
ns1.peoplesquest.net. (zone:
Asking ns1.peoplesquest.net. for PTR
record: Reports mail.outstep.com. [from]

Answer: PTR record: mail.outstep.com. [TTL 3600s] [A=None]
*ERROR* A record does not point back to original IP.

and nslookup does show my mail.outstep.com correctly.

How to resolve this?
