[Pdns-users] Doc 'n download errata + q

Hi all,

I'm new to the list. In the past couple of weeks I have got PDNS up and
running on a few of my systems in a long long long overdue migration from
BIND. I came across PDNS many months ago and was duly impressed with its
design and operating philosophy, and am pleased to say that my installs
seem to generally be operating as flawlessly as I'd hoped!

Just a couple of contributions for tweaks to the docs and web site:

- on the download page, you may wish to list Gentoo Linux. I've
installed it from portage and it's wonderful (current is 2.9.15). Like
for the Debian entry ("just apt-get"), you could say "just emerge!".

- in appendix A.5. of the manual, talking about the details of config and
operation for the gmysql back-end, there are many references to a 'qtype'
field in both the text and the example queries. Ostensibly this is wrong
and is intended to read 'type', since the CREATE TABLE queries all use
'type' instead of 'qtype', and indeed this works out of the box.

And, a bit of a question... why don't the *sql back-ends support auto-
serialization for SOA records? Seems like it would be a simple matter of
SELECT MAX(date_changed) FROM records WHERE domain_id=$DOMAINID or
somesuch. I did not see this explained anywhere.

-ben
