[Pdns-users] no AXFR to slaves

Hi I have a couple small questions.
a) can I completely switch from Bind to PowerDNS ? I used Bind as a
master DNS server and for my internal LAN to forward all non authoritive
answers to the root servers.

b) I am trying the PowerDNS package with PowerAdmin but when I update a
zone (which is a master) I do not see any updates /AXFR's to the slave
name servers:

To see if my powerdns is configured correct and the zones are master
configured:

mysql> insert into domains (name,type) values ('domain.nl','MASTER');
ERROR 1062: Duplicate entry 'domain.nl' for key 2

So the zone domain.nl is active as as master.

A snapshot from my pdns.conf looks like this:

# Autogenerated configuration file template
#################################
# allow-axfr-ips If disabled, DO allow zonetransfers from these
IP addresses
#
allow-axfr-ips= 'slave ip'
master=yes
disable-axfr=no

I CAN resolve my updates through poweradmin local on the nameserver, but
not at the slave dns server (which isn't receiving any AXFR).
I do not see anything strange in de logfile:

an 18 20:49:47 server pdns[10046]: DNS Proxy launched, local port 13755,
remote 127.0.0.1:1053
Jan 18 20:49:47 server pdns[10046]: Master/slave communicator launching
Jan 18 20:49:47 server pdns[10046]: gmysql Connection succesful
Jan 18 20:49:47 server pdns[10046]: All slave domains are fresh
Jan 18 20:49:47 server pdns[10046]: No master domains need notifications
Jan 18 20:49:48 server pdns[10046]: Creating backend connection for TCP
Jan 18 20:49:48 server pdns[10046]: gmysql Connection succesful
Jan 18 20:49:48 server pdns[10046]: About to create 3 backend threads
Jan 18 20:49:48 server pdns[10046]: gmysql Connection succesful

Does anybody know why my master setup does not work and is PowerDNS a
real substitue for Bind?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Michiel
