Debian unstable will most likely have a new package tonight. I'm slaving
away to create a static .deb and an rpm but it is hard work, all of a sudden
PostgreSQL won't link statically anymore. HELP IS WELCOME!!

In the meantime, remove both 'master' and 'slave' from your configuration
file and everything will continue to work, for now, except that your slave
domains will not be updated and no notifications will be sent out for
changed master domains.
