[Powermail-users] Error connecting: Connection refused

Hi,
2 questions for this list, if somebody can help me

1. should I install also PowerDNS to work Powermail?
2. where is the error 

if I run pptool stat
i receive that 

127.0.0.1   Error connecting: Connection refused
            0 mb available for writing
