These records, if the recursor considers that the authoritative server
is allowed to send them, are added to the cache and might be later used
for "infrastructure" queries, ie to retrieve the nameservers for a given
zone and their IPv4 and/or IPv6 addresses.

Completely ignoring additional records would break zones that need glue
records to resolve, at the very least. What are you trying to achieve?
