[Pdns-users] forward-zones-recurse multiple IP address question

With a config that has multiple IP addresses for a zone, it appears, based on tcpdumps, that it PDNS will use the first one until it fails to get an answer.
Is this the correct depiction of the current behavior?  Is there a way to make PDNS send the request out to all servers and then use the first one that responds?

Also, is there a limit to the number of IP addresses?

forward-zones-recurse=.=8.8.8.8;4.2.2.2;4.2.2.3
