Hi!

There is now a GeoIP backend on 3.4.0-rc2. The difference between geobackend
and geoipbackend is that geoipbackend uses libgeoip for resolving the IP
addresses to locations. To compile the backend, you will need yaml-cpp v0.5 or
later and geoip library. For usage instructions, see
http://doc.powerdns.com/html/geoip.html.

Those of you who need backported yaml-cpp 0.5 for debian 7, please see
https://cmouse.fi/deb/yaml-cpp/

Ubuntu LTS 12.04 users can install the packages from 14.04, they seem to
install cleanly. You can find them at
http://packages.ubuntu.com/trusty/libyaml-cpp-dev

We would really love it if people, particular those who use geobackend today,
to give it a try and tell us how it works for them. It supports IPv4, IPv6 and
also DNSSEC with key storage.

With regards,
Aki Tuomi
