[Pdns-users] Confused about authoritativeness

Have not used pdns in a while and I just put together a quick setup as follows:

- pdns listening on 53 (mysql backend)
- pdns-recursor on 5300

Loaded a small number of records in domains and records tables.

When I dig for a record that I know is not in the zone, I get the
answer, because pdns used the recursor for it. Was expecting to act as
authoritative and return NXDOMAIN.

I am sure am forgetting something very simple...
