Hi,
I am fresh to pdns but a long time bind user. I did go over the full
manual once but I seem to have a bit of a problem in getting pdns to
log. And that makes the learning transition much harder.
Installation is on Centos 5.1 with pdns-static-2.9.21-1.i386.rpm
I did make some changes to make this new server a slave:
launch=gmysql
..... (mysql connection = OK)
But the first thing is to get a log working so I can learn from the
logs. So I added:
use-logfile=yes
loglevel=3
logfile=/var/log/pdns.log
I added a slave zone and it tried to do a transfer. (This is where I
learned that the mysql connection is OK ;-) I forgot to allow this
server on the master so the transfer failed at that time.
But I have no log to dig through nor did I see another transfer attempts
after I corrected the issue. Even when I added another zone as slave.
What more do I need to do to get logging working?
Hugo.
