Hello,

I'm trying to install PowerDNS on an WinXP SP2 machine.

but it doesnt work properly.

the installing configuration started successfully (powerdns.mdb + standard
conf file)

but i would like to work with the mysql database.

so i've tried to change the conf file as it is described in the manual, but
it doesn't work.

if i try to start the service it tells me:

...

dnsbackend unable to load module in gmysql

i've made following changes to the conf file:

-------------------------------------------------------------------

# PowerDNS configuration file.

# Use NT logging when running as a service:

use-ntlog=yes

# Backends to launch at startup:

launch=gmysql

gmysql-host=127.0.0.1

gmysql-user=pdns

gmysql-dbname=pdns

# Point to the recursor:

recursor=127.0.0.1:5300

# Launch a statistical webserver:

webserver=yes

webserver-port=8081

# EOF

-------------------------------------------------------------------

i've installed the mysql database

created a schema named pdns

created the tables just like the manual describes

and created an odbc mysql db source (test successful)

does anybody have an idea?

best regards
