[Pdns-users] PowerDNS Authoritative Server snapshot for 'BIND Backend' users

Hi everybody,
PowerDNS comes with a 'BIND Backend' which allows it to serve regular BIND
zonefiles, and even read the BIND 'named.conf' to find out which zones it
should serve.
While this feature has worked well for many people, a recent very large
deployment has found some problems, which might also impact smaller
installations.
The fixes, for anybody running based on the BIND Backend, are available for
testing here, as .deb, .rpm or tar.gz:
http://svn.powerdns.com/snapshots/908/
All users that depend on the BIND Backend are asked to test this snapshot
and report back if it works as intended. If you run from a database, this
snapshot does not contain anything especially exciting, except for a number
of less important bugfixes.
According to our tests, this snapshot release works well, but the best test
is real life.
Please let us know!
