[Pdns-users] "Additional Section" with A records in NS lookups missing?

Hi,

Been using self-rolled pdns rpms with ldap backend now since 2003, and
it's really been treating me right.

I've just noticed a problem with my domain. The nifty tool at
http://www.dnsreport.com/ tests for A records returned on NS queries.
See the following (edited) output from dig; powerdns.com does,
zultron.com doesn't:

        $ dig ns powerdns.com @dns-eu1.powerdns.net.
        [...]

        ;; QUESTION SECTION:
        ;powerdns.com.                  IN      NS

        ;; ANSWER SECTION:
        powerdns.com.           86400   IN      NS      dns-eu1.powerdns.net.
        powerdns.com.           86400   IN      NS      dns-eu2.powerdns.net.

        ;; ADDITIONAL SECTION:
        dns-eu1.powerdns.net.   86400   IN      A       213.244.168.217
        dns-eu2.powerdns.net.   300     IN      A       212.72.55.217
        [...]

        $ dig ns zultron.com @ns1.zultron.com
        [...]

        ;; QUESTION SECTION:
        ;zultron.com.                   IN      NS

        ;; ANSWER SECTION:
        zultron.com.            3600    IN      NS      ns2.zultron.com.
        zultron.com.            3600    IN      NS      ns1.zultron.com.
        [...]

Mine's missing the "ADDITIONAL SECTION" that gives the A records. I've
read that this is technically legal, but requires a separate A record
lookup to finish the NS query.

I also see that the powerdns.com nameservers are running pdns 2.9.19 and
2.9.17, where I'm running 2.9.19 and 2.9.16.

Where's the switch to turn this on? Thanks in advance for helping. I
wasn't sure what keywords to search the list for, so apologies for
repeating anything.

	John
