[Pdns-users] Powermail compile problem

I've been trying to compile powermail on a Fedora C3 server so it can 
handle MBOXFW records in pdns, but it errors out with the following 
error when I try to compile:

/usr/lib/mysql/libmysqlclient.a(my_compress.o)(.text+0xdd): In 
function `my_compress_alloc':
: undefined reference to `compress'
/usr/lib/mysql/libmysqlclient.a(my_compress.o)(.text+0x180): In 
function `my_uncompress':
: undefined reference to `uncompress'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[2]: *** [powermail] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/root/powermail-1.7'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1

I have MySQL-server-4.0.23, MySQL-devel-4.0.23, MySQL-shared-4.0.23, 
MySQL-shared-compat-4.0.23 and MySQL-client-4.0.23 RPM's installed 
(glibc23 versions)

The powermail rpm also doesn't work, it errors out with a:
[root at ns3 powermail]# /etc/init.d/powersmtp restart
powersmtp: not running
powersmtp: started
powersmtp: dynamic-link.h:62: elf_get_dynamic_info: Assertion `! "bad 
dynamic tag"' failed.
/etc/init.d/powersmtp: line 11: 25458 
Aborted                 $sbindir/powersmtp


Any idea what could be going wrong here in either of the 2 cases ?
