I'm having a little problem with a delegated net and in-addr.arpa.
I got 0-127.249.116.62.in-addr.arpa delegated to a newly installed
pdns-server but I don't have a clue how to make the zone in pdns(using
poweradmin). Heres an example on what dnsstuff.com says when checking:
Asking f.root-servers.net for 126.96.36.199.in-addr.arpa PTR record:
f.root-servers.net says to go to tinnie.arin.net. (zone:
Asking tinnie.arin.net. for 188.8.131.52.in-addr.arpa PTR record:
tinnie.arin.net [184.108.40.206] says to go to ns.gavlenet.com. (zone:
Asking ns.gavlenet.com. for 220.127.116.11.in-addr.arpa PTR record: Got CNAME
referral to ns1.leetab.se. (zone 2.0/18.104.22.168.in-addr.arpa.) [from
Asking ns1.leetab.se. for 2.0/22.214.171.124.in-addr.arpa. PTR record:
Reports that no PTR records exist [from 126.96.36.199].
In bind I make the zone: zone "0/188.8.131.52.in-addr.arpa" and it works
like a charm, been trying to set up 184.108.40.206.in-addr.arpa ,
249.116.62.in-addr.arpa and 0.25.249.116.62.in-addr.arpa but always get an
error notification in the logs:
Received NOTIFY for 0/220.127.116.11.in-addr.arpa from 18.104.22.168 for
which we are not authoritative.
Unable to find backend willing to host 0/22.214.171.124.in-addr.arpa.
My question in all this mumbo jumbo is: How do I get pdns to become master
