[Pdns-users] master only (bug?)

hello,

I am trying to set PowerDNS not to act as a slave. I
have master=yes and slave=no in pdns.conf

[root at blah root]# cat /etc/powerdns/pdns.conf | grep
master=
# master=no
master=yes
[root at blah root]# cat /etc/powerdns/pdns.conf | grep
slave=
# slave=no
slave=no


I use the gmysql backend

in the domains table I have:

 11 | mydomain.com           | 192.168.1.1 |      
NULL | SLAVE  |            NULL | NULL


so the domain mydomain.com has indeed the type 'SLAVE'
set, however, according to the documentation I
understand that powerdns should not act as a slave if
I put slave=no in the config file

192.168.1.1 is running bind and is authoritative for
mydomain.com and allows transfers from the machine
running powerdns

pdns monitor shows this:

the zone mydomain.com gets transfered. I admit this
setup is a bit odd, the idea is that the database is
replicated and I would like PowerDNS to just not act
as a slave, since I have slave=no in the config file.

if I put both master=no and slave=no then it behaves
ok. the line saying "Master/slave communicator
launching" doesn't show up any more and no transfer
occurs.

am I missing something or is it a bug?
