Hi,
I've just started using PowerDNS on two systems, one Debian/sid with the
appropriate package from Debian's repository and on a Debian/stable on
which I built it from sources. On both systems I can get the LDAP
backend running smoothly but for one parameter: ldap-default-ttl. An
excerpt from my pdns.conf:
launch=ldap
...
ldap-host=127.0.0.1
ldap-basedn=ou=domains,dc=bs,dc=linet-services,dc=de
ldap-method=tree
#ldap-default-ttl=1200
As soon as I remove the # from that last line I get the following error
messages in my syslog:
Sep 8 15:44:25 ls-bs-si1 pdns[32701]: Listening on controlsocket in '/var/run/pdns.controlsocket'
Sep 8 15:44:25 ls-bs-si1 pdns[32704]: Guardian is launching an instance
Sep 8 15:44:25 ls-bs-si1 pdns[32704]: This is a guarded instance of pdns
Sep 8 15:44:25 ls-bs-si1 pdns[32704]: Fatal error: Trying to set unexisting parameter 'ldap-default-ttl'
Sep 8 15:44:26 ls-bs-si1 pdns[32701]: Our pdns instance exited with code 1
Sep 8 15:44:26 ls-bs-si1 pdns[32701]: Respawning
over and over again. The string 'default-ttl' does exist in
/usr/lib/powerdns/libldapbackend.so:
0 root at ls-bs-si1:/etc/powerdns$ strings /usr/lib/powerdns/libldapbackend.so | grep default-ttl
default-ttl
I'm at a loss why this error message occurs. Any help would be
appreciated. If you need more information just ask, I'll provide it
gladly.
Thanks in advance.
