I've included my pdsn.conf
I use the debian version btw. I do not use bindbackend, only the mysql
backend. I've just generated the mysql contents through zone2sql from bind
zone files.

You should tell us more about your configuration, and what you have
configured to make the setup work. If you are using the bindbackend, make
sure it does read the named.conf correctly...
