Hi,

I don't know if this is the correct list, but i'm having problems with
PowerDNS, it's crashing when I run nmap on the IP running PowerDNS.

OS: Fedora Core 1
Source: PowerDNS RPM
Version: 2.9.16

------------

[root at sd8 powerdns]# service pdns monitor

Running nmap:

------------

[root at paradise tmp]# nmap -vv -sV tempns

Starting nmap 3.50 ( http://www.insecure.org/nmap/ ) at 2004-06-25 17:18
CEST
Host tempns (193.22.139.XXX) appears to be up ... good.
Initiating SYN Stealth Scan against tempns (193.22.139.XXX) at 17:18
Adding open port 8081/tcp
Adding open port 53/tcp
The SYN Stealth Scan took 1 second to scan 1659 ports.
Initiating service scan against 2 services on 1 host at 17:18

------------

And after a few seconds the following occurs on the PowerDNS server:

------------

Jun 25 17:18:42 Timeout in webserver
Jun 25 17:18:42 Got a signal 11, attempting to print trace:
Jun 25 17:18:42 [0x80bb576]

/etc/init.d/pdns: line 175: 7778 Aborted

       $pdns_server --daemon=no --guardian=no --control-console --loglevel=9

------------

Disabling the webserver seems to solve the situation.

Sincerely yours,
