Hello,
I found this problem before too, are you using the PowerAdmin to add
your zones?
if so, you will need to go into the data base table (domains) and add a
master server ip address for the any domains that are in slave mode.
note, the mater IP address is the IP of the primary DNS server.

Hi,
I am using PDNS on Windows2003 with ODBC to MS SQL Server
When I enable slave in the pdns.conf file the service dies
immediately. If I place slave=no then the service runs no problems.
This is what I get in the log.
