Greetings.
test.com is by database (mysql)
[root at mobius root]# host -t any test.com
test.com SOA localhost. ahu.ds9a.nl. 1 10800 3600 604800 3600
test.com name server dns-us1.powerdns.net.
test.com name server dns-eu1.powerdns.net.
test.com mail is handled by 25 mail.test.com.
Great.
Now, lets try google :
[root at mobius root]# host -t any google.com
Host google.com not found: 2(SERVFAIL)
Ya ... I know that already, but why do you stop here dear PowerDNS ? Did I
missed something in the config, or PowerDNS just doesnt have the capability
to go a little further, and find out who's authoritative for any queried
domain, if it aint found locally in the DB ?
Maybe im missing the (some) point(s) here, so any pointers would be very
very appreciated.
Thanks ! =)
