Hello,
something very weird struck me today. On aliased IPs on FreeBSD, pdns
won't respond except if the query comes from localhost. Consider:

root at iota 17:55:44 /usr/ports/www/mod_php4 # ifconfig
rl0: flags=8843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
        inet 193.41.193.195 netmask 0xffffffe0 broadcast
193.41.193.223
        inet6 fe80::2e0:4cff:fe39:fba9%rl0 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x1
        inet 193.41.193.222 netmask 0xffffffff broadcast
193.41.193.222
        ether 00:e0:4c:39:fb:a9
        media: Ethernet autoselect (100baseTX <full-duplex>)
        status: active

Now dig @193.41.193.195 works from the whole world.

but dig @193.41.193.222 only works from the machine itself. Pinging
193.41.193.222 again works from the whole world.

Has anyone got any idea what's happening here?

Best regards,
 Gabriel
