Hello,

For some reason i have some subdomains which should resolve via

	*.domain.tld CNAME www.domain.tld

I have both the entrys

	domain.tld CNAME www.domain.tld	and
	*.domain.tld	CNAME	www.domain.tld

The reason is mass-subdomain-hosting for a project. The problem now is with the slave-server
it can't update the domain though

	dig domain.tld axfr @master

shows the data.

The initial SOA for getting the serial isn´t function properly

	dig domain.tld SOA @master

says

Domain.tld 604800	IN	CNAME	www.domain.tld
www.domain.tls	603800	IN	CNAME www.domain.tld

	dig www.domain.tld @master

Is resolving to the ip.

Here is the dump of the SOA-dig mysql.log

7920 Query select content,ttl,prio,type,domain_id,name from records where name='domain.tld'
7920 Query select content,ttl,prio,type,domain_id,name from records where name='www.domain.tld'
7920 Query select content,ttl,prio,type,domain_id,name from records where type='SOA' and name='www.domain.tld'
7920 Query select content,ttl,prio,type,domain_id,name from records where name='*.domain.tld'

After adding a SOA-Record for www.domain.tld the SOA-dig is working.

My question now: is it possible to have a direct SOA-response for domain.tld?
Or do i have to resolve the domain.tld and make www. a CNAME of it?

Thanks in advance
