[Pdns-users] PDNS 2.9.7 wont start

Hey Guys,

I have just installed a source installation of PDNS 2.9.7 under redhat
8.0.  Using the mysql backend I can successfully do queries when in
monitor mode.  However once I try and start it using
/etc/rc.d/init.d/pdns start.  

It says it starts:
# /etc/rc.d/init.d/pdns start  
pdns: started

# /etc/rc.d/init.d/pdns status
pdns: 14439:

I does not say Child started like the docs show, nor does it answer
queries.  Additionally I have to run the force-stop command to kill the
process.


Any ideas?
