Dear users, developers, downstream maintainers,

Breaking with tradition, there is no actual 3.3.1-RC1 tarball. Instead, git revision d1e2482 on the rel/auth-3.3.1 branch has been blessed as Release Candidate 1 for the 3.3.1 release.

3.3.1 serves several purposes:
- fix bugs that have production impact
- upstream patches from downstream maintainers
- improve portability (platforms, Lua versions, etc.)

Especially downstream maintainers of distribution packages are implored to test this release candidate. If, after testing it, you find you still need downstream patches of ANY kind, please let us know. We want to make the work of our maintainers as easy
as possible and that means limiting the number of downstream patches whenever possible.

Please click any of the following URLs to find .tar.gz, .deb and .rpm downloads for this release candidate:

If you think anything is missing on the 3.3.1 branch, be it a fix that's already on master, a still-open issue, or something else, please follow up to this message on the pdns-dev list or, if you must, email me privately.

Thank you for your time.

Kind regards,
