It should be possible to create it based on the pipe backend and to keep it
easy start without supporting DNSSEC. I'm happy to look in to it and create
it when more people start asking for it or someone pays for the time.

I would be interested to see if somebody would be willing to create a
backend for CloudDNS http://www.rackspace.com/cloud/public/dns/

 

They have an API, would be great to backup as well as slave name servers.
