The patch attached fixes a bug which may cause an exception on lookup
or while doing AXFR and rejects AXFR request in strict mode (and will
write a warning to the log if somebody tries to).
It don't throw the exception reported by Sam Couter any more, but his
core problem was rather a wrong configuration.
