I got the JSON output like a charm and as you say I can get the query counter, but the number I'm looking for, is the current QPS ... as I can see on the dnsdist web page.

Alejandro,

Use some kind of monitoring solution to do this. Icinga, Nagios, that kind of stuff.

You can retrieve the queries counter from the API.

http://[server]/api/v1/servers/localhost/statistics
