Hi Justin,

I have a LDAP master and slave with syncrepl configured and pdns intalled on both. I found on the pdns ldap backend documentation that I can specify more than one ldap server and make high availability.

Consider using database replication. postgresql + slony or pgpool. OpenLDAP also has a replication engine.

Hi.

I'm using pdns with ldap backend and I would like to know if is
possible to configure pdns to work with offline cache to prevent the
pdns to crash when LDAP stop to work.
Hi Daniel,

PowerDNS relies on its backends. If the backends are down, we are down.

We will be offering some failover and redundancy shortly, but if the backends are down, we can't compensate that.
