release of PowerDNS doesn't work with MySQL from version 4.1 and up, due to
changes in the authentication protocol of MySQL. The error message looks like

this, you can either configure the MySQL server to use the old

can recompile pdns with support for the new algorithm. Anyway, Bert was kind
enough to compile it, so if anyone out there faces this problem, download the
