Yes it is a crazy model and I can't believe they get away with it. But
as I know only too well myself a fool and his money..., well nuff said.

However they do have an interesting implementation of DNS going on
there. A few NS servers but they all appear as being from the same IP
address despite being located in different datacenters. I'm quite
curious how I would do somthing similar with PDNS myself. Could be a fun
learning curve. Is it possible to use the geo backend with mysql (Or any
SQL:)? I don't think so as I have not gotten that impression from the
docs, but maybe I am just sticking too close to a default setup. It'd be
cool.

The other thing that would be cool, but more from a user information
point of view is to be able to say to customer, look no problem with
your dns server, we served 1000000 requests for your domain this month.
I am trying to figure out a way to do this using mysql and have a
counter increment linked to the domain ID, but the problem I think is
that it would a) be inaccurate as it does not include the cache and b)
affect performance.

Anyhow, in short, UltraDNS, mad setup going on there? Anyhone interested
in trying somingthing similar with pdns? After all as I said, I am a fool :)
