Hi Mark,

Okay well 2.8 is quite a while ago so I can't remember myself even what 
to do (Strange tho I may remember running it :) Anyhow 
http://downloads.powerdns.com/documentation/html/ is a great place to 
start.  but I am sure you are already there looking furiously at them now :)

The recursor is going to be called pdns_recursor IIRC. If its not there 
have a look in /usr/local/etc/pdns.conf for a recursor option and see if 
it specifies a name server, that could be the other option.

Idealy if you can give us all a bit more info, I think you will find we 
are only too happy to help, plus I think there are a lot more people 
here with better knowledge than myself to answer this for you.
