Hi all,

I've just added one of the first master entries in powerdns and tried to
notify (using pdns_control) the slave server (bind 9). Doing that the log
contained the following messages (193.2 = slave server, 195.15 = master
server):

Apr 25 08:31:06 server1 pdns[1251]: Notification request for domain
'jackieturbo.com' received from operator
Apr 25 08:31:06 server1 pdns[1251]: gmysql Connection succesful
Apr 25 08:31:06 server1 pdns[1251]: Queued notification of domain
'jackieturbo.com' to ***.193.2
Apr 25 08:31:06 server1 pdns[1251]: Queued notification of domain
'jackieturbo.com' to ***.195.15
Apr 25 08:31:06 server1 pdns[1262]: Received NOTIFY for jackieturbo.com from
***.195.15 but slave support is disabled in the configuration
Apr 25 08:31:07 server1 pdns[1254]: Received unsuccesful notification report
for 'jackieturbo.com' from ***.195.15, rcode: 4
Apr 25 08:31:07 server1 pdns[1254]: Removed from notification list:
'jackieturbo.com' to ***.195.15
Apr 25 08:31:40 server1 pdns[1254]: syslog: unknown facility/priority: 3039

I've got a few questions about these log entries:
1. Why doesn't the notify command detect that the master server doesn't need
the NOTIFY?
2. What does the unknown facility/priority entry mean?

I hope somebody can help me.

Kind regards,
Marc
