Hello all,

We have had a report from one user that 1.4.0-rc4 has a regression that
might cause crashes with DNS over HTTPS. We have investigated over the
week-end and have merged a fix [1] that should fix the issue. We are
doing more testing and will release 1.4.0-rc5 as soon as we are
confident that the issue has been fixed, which might take a couple days.
In the meantime we advise that you do not upgrade to 1.4.0-rc4 if you
have DNS over HTTPS support enabled.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused by this issue,
and again a huge thank you to all the testers!
